Cluj Endovascular Meeting (CEM) is a multidisciplinary scientific conference dedicated to endovascular diagnosis and treatment across medical specialties, designed to become a reference regional meeting in Central and Eastern Europe.
The meeting brings together vascular surgeons, cardiologists, interventional radiologists, neuroradiologists, gastroenterologists and nephrologists, providing a common platform focused on clinical decision-making, management of complications, and real-life multidisciplinary collaboration.
CEM emphasizes a case-based educational format, encouraging interaction, debate and shared responsibility between specialties involved in endovascular care. Rather than technique-only sessions, the program addresses patient selection, procedural strategy, complication management and long-term outcomes.
The first edition of Cluj Endovascular Meeting will take place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, on May 7–8, 2026, and will include a pre-conference hands-on endovascular workshop.
Why Cluj Endovascular Meeting exists
Endovascular medicine has evolved beyond techniques, devices, or specialty boundaries. It has become a shared responsibility, where outcomes depend not on who performs a procedure, but on how decisions are made together.
Cluj Endovascular Meeting (CEM) was created to provide a place where endovascular decisions are discussed across specialties, honestly, critically, and constructively.
What CEM stands for
CEM stands for multidisciplinary endovascular thinking. We believe that vascular surgeons, cardiologists, interventional radiologists, neuroradiologists, gastroenterologists and nephrologists do not work in parallel, but around the same patient.
What makes CEM different
CEM is not a technique-driven course, not a device showcase and not a single-specialty meeting. It is built on real-life cases, shared decision-making, open discussion of complications and respect for complementary expertise.
Our educational philosophy
At Cluj Endovascular Meeting, cases come before conclusions, decisions come before devices and collaboration comes before hierarchy. Patient safety and durable outcomes are the ultimate goals.
Our long-term vision
CEM is conceived as a long-term platform aimed at becoming a regional reference meeting, shaping a shared endovascular culture and supporting education, collaboration and mentorship.
Our commitment
We commit to multidisciplinary balance, academic independence, transparency and continuous improvement.
Better decisions come from better conversations.
